What to expect from a Nutritional Therapy consultation

Nutritional Therapy Consultation

Nutritional Health Solutions provides comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle programmes to help you achieve your health goals.  The first step is to contact us and we will send you a Nutrition Questionnaire and a food diary to complete.  The food diary needs to be kept for one week and sent back along with the questionnaire.

Consultations take place at convenient locations in Ware and Hertford, or if getting about is difficult for you, can take place in the comfort of your own home.

Your first consultation will last approximately one hour, during which your goals will be established and we will discuss your diet, lifestyle, symptoms and any concerns you may have. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.  A nutritional programme tailored for you will be developed to include:

An explanation of the possible reasons for your symptoms

An action plan that clearly outlines what you need to do to achieve your goals

Information on the foods that might help your condition, and those that might make it worse

Where nutrient deficiencies occur, or where supplements may help improve your condition, a supplement programme for you to follow

Any extra information you might need to help you understand your symptoms

A recommendation for diagnostic tests, if required

Usually, one or more follow up consultations are needed to help you achieve your goals.  These last thirty minutes, during which your progress will be carefully monitored and the results of any tests discussed. Your action plan will be updated and you will receive any additional information you might need.
