We use a multimodal nutrition and lifestyle approach to help optimise your health. Below is a series of Plans designed to help improve diet and lifestyle and reduce the risk of disease later on in life. These Plans incorporate elements of diet and lifestyle that have been shown in research carried out by Professor Bredesen to be vital for preventing and reversing memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Professor Bredesen has developed a protocol called Reversing Cognitive Decline (ReCODE) and he uses these elements in patients to reverse memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease. You can read about more about Professor Bredesen and his research HERE.

Following one of these Plans would be ideal if you already feel your memory is not as good as it could be or if you are suffering from other symptoms that point to poor health. Whilst the focus of these Plans is on the health of the brain, we see improvements in many other areas including digestion, energy levels, skin and hormone balance and, if weight gain has been an issue for a participant, then we commonly see weight loss too. So, even if if you aren’t suffering from memory symptoms in particular, you may still benefit from following one of these Plans.

Each Plan contains core information to help you to optimise the health of your brain as well as your general health. Then, which Plan you choose will very much depend on your symptoms and goals, if you would like to do some testing and how you prefer to learn. You can use the buttons below to navigate quickly but, first time, it is best to read through everything in order.

The Prevention Plan

Are you generally healthy but have some or all of the following?

Do you want to improve your diet and lifestyle so you can feel well again? Or perhaps reduce your own risk of Alzheimer’s disease? If so then you need the Prevention Plan.

Prevention rather than cure

Why wait until a diagnosis when you can do so much to help prevent disease later in life? Research shows that taking care of diet and lifestyle can reduce the risk of disease later on in life and this Plan is packed with useful information to help you take control of your health.

This three-month Plan provides a comprehensive, in depth look at diet and lifestyle and how it can contribute to disease and health. You will be encouraged to take a critical look at your current diet and lifestyle and, with your new knowledge, consider aspects of them that could be contributing to your symptoms. Once identified and prioritised, your Plan is tailored to your needs and you will take the steps needed to make a difference to your health. Briefly, the subject areas you will learn about include:

  1. the diet and lifestyle factors that Professor Bredesen considers the most important for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease
  2. how to take care of your brain so that you can optimise your memory, mood and performance
  3. digestion and the way it can influence the health of the brain
  4. the factors that may be contributing to brain fog
  5. the devastating effect that stress can have on the brain and what to do about it
  6. how to support energy levels
  7. how to get great sleep
  8. tips and tricks to ‘exercise’ your brain

Importantly, you will get help to implement the necessary changes and ensure the transition to your new diet and lifestyle is as quick and easy as possible for you

The Proactive Plan

The Proactive Plan is for you if your symptoms are similar to those below and, particularly, if your symptoms are causing you to worry or are impacting on your life. You want to be proactive in understanding which imbalances you have that might be contributing to your symptoms and in taking steps to reduce your risk of developing disease later on in life. Why wait until a diagnosis when you can do so much to help prevent disease right now?

Have you noticed any of the following?

If  you have a family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease then you may be more worried than most and perhaps concerned that you might be going the same way.

Do you want to be able to stop worrying and be proactive in reducing your own risk? If this is you then, ideally, it would be good to find out if you have any of the underlying imbalances that Professor Bredesen highlights as being important for the health of the brain. And it would also help if you had some very specific advice to help correct any that are identified. All this is provided in the Proactive Plan.

Knowledge is power

The Proactive Plan is a six-month Plan that is tailored to your own specific needs. You will carry out testing to identify some of the potential underlying imbalances that can lead to the deterioration of brain health and that might be contributing towards your symptoms, and perhaps towards your general health. You will receive a detailed report and interpretation of the results. Everyone is different but, typically, these tests will consider:

  1. markers of inflammation
  2. assessment of blood glucose regulation
  3. hormonal status
  4. exposure to toxic substances
  5. nutritional status

All of the above tests have been highlighted by Professor Bredesen as being critical for brain health. Interestingly, many of the results that you will receive in your report are also markers for other health problems, for example hormone imbalances and weight gain, as well as for supporting brain health. Having received your results you will have a better understanding of your personal biochemistry. Your report will be used to develop a personalised Plan to support you in correcting your diet and lifestyle so that you can achieve a positive effect on your health. We may suggest that you take supplements to help in this process.

Towards the end of your Plan you will carry out the testing again so that your Plan may be tailored further to your needs.

Please note, because we are all very different and we all need different kinds of testing and supplementation, the cost of these is not included in the Proactive Plan.  We hope that six months is enough time for us to address your underlying imbalances. However, it is possible that it won’t be long enough and in certain cases we will need more time. When this is the case, your Plan can be extended at an additional cost to you.

The Brain Health Programme Workshops

The Brain Health Programme is a nutrition and lifestyle programme to optimise wellbeing, memory and mood. It is for people who are experiencing brain fog, poor memory and concentration, stress, or who have a family member diagnosed with dementia. If you recognise any of the above and would prefer to learn as part of a group then the Brain Health Programme is for you.

This programme is for groups of people who are concerned about the risk of memory problems and cognitive decline. Please note that you will need a minimum of six people to book this programme. It is great for groups of friends who wish to learn together, or for organisations and societies interested in optimising brain health.

The Brain Health Programme consists of a series of six workshops to optimise brain health and cognitive function using a multimodal nutrition and lifestyle approach. Topics include nutrition for the brain, optimising gut health, stress reduction, learning to sleep well, exercise and brain training techniques.
